We, the Softacus company, provide our customers not only with advice, but also with help and support for the installation or upgrade of the Jazz platform, also known as IBM ELM (Engineering Lifecycle Management).

Installation & Upgrade Phases
Since we want to maximize the performance of your future or current system, the expected duration for providing this service is 2-5 days per environment. This time estimate is determined on the basis of each customer having different demands on the system and the estimated time also depends on the complexity of the given installation or upgrade.
1. PRE - INSTALLATION & UPGRADE SERVICES
An important first step is choosing the right server(s). Together with our integration engineers we will help you with the right selection of a precisely tailored server. When choosing, we can offer you hosting that will be provided by our company - Softacus. At the same time, we offer the option of supporting the environment, the hosting of which is under your control.

Each step to maximize results is discussed at meetings, where you can choose the combination of the IBM Jazz applications that you prefer. Our consultants, project managers and integration engineers will help you choose the right applications for your focus and also help you choose the right integration and layout of applications so that you can instead focus on what is important for you.

3. INSTALLATION/UPGRADE OF THE JAZZ PLATFORM (IBM ELM)
Our recommendation for the customer is to have a test environment and a production environment available. Thanks to this, our customer can verify the Jazz platform.
During the upgrade, the test environment is very useful, since through it you can verify the new features and also the correct operation of the system. The reverse proxy installation is an integral part in our installation.

We also provide basic database settings, or together with your database team, we can set up appropriate databases for the Jazz platform.

There are several authentication options:
- User registry

We can also help you with the integration and connection of the particular type of authentication in your environment.

IBM constantly upgrades the Jazz platform, which includes new fix packs (ifixes), which we can inform you about and deploy as soon as possible.
