How to deploy RPE template to DOORS NG server

Overview

This article aims to help the user with the process of deploying templates to the DOORS Next Generation.

The official procedure is described by IBM here:
https://jazz.net/wiki/bin/view/Main/RRCCustomRRDGReportsWalkthrough

In brief, you can deploy the template to DOORS NG easily steps:

1. You will get 2 files to be deployed in Jazz: one is *.dta and another is *.doc (with equal file names but different extensions)

2. Put *.dta file into next folder on the server where RDNG is deployed (if there are several RDNGs linked as friends then put it better where the project areas with data for reporting is stored):
        ...\IBM\JazzTeamServer\server\conf\rm\reporting\initialization\templates\rrdg\

3. Put *.doc file into next folder on the same server:

       ...\IBM\JazzTeamServer\server\conf\rm\reporting\initialization\templates\word\

4. You have to have access to the update to the following file:

       ...\IBM\JazzTeamServer\server\conf\rm\reporting\initialization\META-INF\MANIFEST.M
I will send the content later when some version of the RPE template will be prepared.

5. Next, it's better to close all pages of your Web browser and open it again. Now run open the following link (use your individual server name):
      https://<SERVER>:<PORT>/rm/publish/initialize

It will compile all added RPE templates. If they contain some errors, you will see them.
